Description
My client is a leading multidisciplinary construction company, based in Aberdeen. Known for delivering innovative and high-quality projects, they are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join their team to work with them on exciting current and new developments.

As a Building Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, development, and initiation of projects, ensuring that they are set up for success from day one. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to advise with the overall building design including budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering. This is a key position that requires a mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. In addition, you will oversee and ensure a smooth operation and maintenance of buildings and their services from pre-construction and during the building's lifespan.

Key Responsibilities:
·Review all drawings and specifications and advise Pre-Con team members of any- Poor Design, Poor Co-ordination, Value Engineering
·Attend meetings as required to assist with problem solving of design and provide workable solutions.
·Advise design teams on overall build design and ensure that designs meet health and safety requirements.
·Identify cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or project objectives, while ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
·Identify potential challenges and risks early in the project and implement strategies to mitigate them.
·Propose alternative designs and environmental solutions where applicable.
·Prepare and manage utilities tracker for all new mains services as well as site temporary services.
·Assist Site team with re tendering of M&E work packages ensuring that proper scoping documents are implemented
·Have a solution focused approach to overcoming site issues with regards to M&E clashes etc to move the project forward
·Address and resolve issues or complaints from building occupants.

Qualifications:
·Previous experience in a Building Services Manager role.
·Strong knowledge of building systems and services.
·Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
·Awareness of M&E costs/rates
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and senior leadership.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions.
